Whether it's business or pleasure there's so much to do. Stamford is just over 80 miles north of London with good train links to the capital and 20 minutes drive to Peterborough. To the west is one of the largest man-made reservoirs, Rutland Water, where you can windsurf, fish, sail or cycle around. Nearby are picturesque villages with lovely walks, many pubs and restaurants.

Stamford has a wealth of unique and individual shops, a weekly market (Fridays) and numerous pubs and restaurants to suit everyone's taste. It also boasts an Arts Centre where you can enjoy a wide variety of live and cinema entertainment. Just outside the town is one of the most famous historic homes, Burghley House, also home to the popular annual Horse Trials.

The town's architectural wealth and historic status has attracted many film & TV companies to use it as a location for period dramas including the BBC's Middlemarch and the film version of Pride & Prejudice.

This cosy two bedroomed terrace is a superb base as your Stamford holiday let.
